Ingredients:
220 g all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
120 g softened butter
300 g packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
125 g chopped walnuts
120 g chopped apples
150 g raisins
100 g confectioners' sugar/powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F/180°C and line the cooking sheets with parchment papers.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, spices and salt.
- In another bowl, add the butter and beat till fluffy and light.
- Add the egg and sugar and mix till well combined.
- Add the egg mixture into the flour mixture and mix till well combined.
- Fold in the apples, raisins and walnuts.
- With a teaspoon, place the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheets in a single layer about 1 1/2-inches/3 cm apart.
- Cook everything in the oven for about 12-14 minutes.
- Remove everything from the oven and keep aside on wire racks to cool completely.
- Meanwhile for the glaze in a small bowl, mix together the remaining Ingredients:
- Pour the glaze over the cookies and serve.
